As a language teacher, I have been exploring many ways for students to speak by recording stories, reports, and songs that they have written. I found that the more the interface is user-friendly the more the students focus on content rather than 'software mastery'. It has been also my experience that their ability to share their final project serves as a strong motivator. Students will always put more effort into their work if they know that their peers will hear and review it. This 'showcasing effect' is vital to PBL projects.
