Collaborating across the globe
The Internet has greatly increased our connection with the entire planet, yet it can still be a challenge to communicate and work with students from different countries. Beyond the language barriers, cultural habits and ways of working can often present themselves as hurdles for students. That is why I chose to conduct a project where students from an American high school collaborated with students from a French high school in writing articles around today's themes.
In this example below, two students (French and American) collaborated on writing an article on French and American elections. Beyond just providing facts, I wanted students to reflect on each other's way of approaching presidential elections. Using the versatility of Wikispaces, students created an informed article on that subject.
